Thanksgiving

I stayed in Waterloo for Thanksgiving. I made a turkey anyways, with my roommate Matt. Faizan came over to celebrate with us. Ch-Ch-Check it out!

We had all the fixings: a 4kg turkey, my mom's classic stuffing, peas, corn, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce. Altogether, Thanksgiving was a success!

Fish Prints

I'm taking a photographic inventory of all my art from the past few years. I don't know if I'm going to keep this stuff forever, so I figured I would get it onto my blog for posterity's sake. This is a series of underwater-themed monotypes I made in 2006. Basically, I manipulated ink on a sheet of Plexiglas, and then put the glass through the printing press to transfer the image to paper.

Some are, admittedly, better than others...

Further "evidence"

The last post reminded me....

I don't think my mom understands quotation marks. Refer to a comment she left to a post on July 1, 2007:

Blogger mom said...

Clever blog Véronique. By the way "what is a blog?"

Now, that said, she's an awesome mom. I'm just amused is all. I love you mommy!

Non sequitur image time!!

Just what did my parents mean...

When they say they went to the "zoo" ? Behold the postcard they sent me from Calgary. Apparently my mom thinks a zoo is either a colloquialism, or was speaking ironically and actually hit up some bar somewhere.

Did I mention I turned 24 on Tuesday! I demand accolades, for I have lived as many years as there are hours in a day.

Fractal cauliflower?

Look what I drew two years ago!
