Lets make a list of things I dont like about this city:
- Its hot as balls
- Its sunny, really, really sunny. The UV index is 8/10, so Im just coated with SPF 50 and trying walk on the shaded side of the street.
- I have no money. Well, all my bank accounts appeared to not be working. I have surpassed my limit on my French account, I apparently forgot my RBC pin number, and my National Bank debit card is expired. Genius Vero! Luckily my parents bailed me out by wiring me some cash with Western Union.
- I missed an organized tour of the Catacombs cause I got lost and was late.
- I get lost, a lot.
- Only 2 metro lines.
- A lot of walking means I hurt.
- There are a tonne of tourists here
But now, good things:
- My hostel is air conditioned at night
- I met nice people. A nanny to a Russian family, who I met on a tour. (Stas, shes a nanny to director Andrei Konchalovsky and Yulia Vgorshaya; she said a Russian would recognize these names). Also, some nice ladies from Utah (I think they were Morman) who went to the catacombs with me and gave me some money out of sympathy for my no-money situation.
- Gelato (I had banana and nutella, melon, and straccciatella)
- Water fountains all over means free water! Drinking from a Bernini fountain = awesome!
- All the other stuff. You know, the art, the architecture, the sculpture, the food..
Ok, I have less than 2 minutes left on this internet thing. I hope this trip starts getting better!
